What I have done!
I have a lot of opportunities to do a lot of things thus year, and I really want to try my best to take every one I possibly can.
In this section of my portfolo, I will describe each major experience I'm going through, catagorised by the month they happened in. I'm going to try my best to do everything I possibly can!
SEPTEMBER
Anastasia: The Musical
[16/09/26]
Today, we held auditions for our production of Anastasia for the school musical! Everyone was gathered in the lecture theatre to watch a production of the Anastasia stage musical, some people sat outside to practice their lines while others watched the show. I was in the lecture theatre with my friends watching it and I'd definitely enjoyed it. Soon enough, it was time for my group-Chloe, Maya and I- to go to the music block for our audition, there was a moment where I couldn't find my lines, but I found them quick enough. I met up with everyone in the music block and we waited with a couple other groups for the audition.
The audition itself was very very quick, first we sang the prepared song and then we did our prepared scene, I played Dmitry, Maya was Vlad and Chloe was Anya, aka Anastasia! In the emd, Maya and I didnt get a role, but Chloe got Anastasia! I found the experience pretty fun, although a bit stressful. I had done something similar before for a production of Mama Mia and Legally blond, but never in school.
Zip-It Trip!
[21/09/26]
Today, my year took a school trip to Zip-It in the Dublin mountains! The trip was really fun! First we took the bus to the Zip-It site, the bus ride wasn't very long- only about half an hour, and I was sat beside my friend Maya, behind us two girls had a speaker and were playing music for everyone, they actually started playing 'MARINA' who's a sing I like. Thankfully, I remembered to bring my digital camera so we could take photos during the trip!
We got off the bus and waited awhile before getting our harnesses on, then we got our gloves and were shown how to work the harnesses to make sure we didn't fall. I had done similar things to this before, but these harnesses were a but weird, I picked it ul eventually though. My friends split up into two groups of four, I was with Chloe, Sophia and Maya. We did the yellow course first which I found pretty easy, so we moved on to the orange course where Chloe and I took the harder route while Maya and Sophia took the easier one. Once we had both finished the courses, we took a break to eat lunch and Chloe had brought cake from an event the day before!
After the break, Chloe and I did the white course which was a lot high than the previous ones, we were done quickly enough and went back to have proper lunch. In the small tuc shop at the place, they sold those ice-cream dots so we both got some after out lunch. Chleo said she didnt want to go on any more courses after that so in the end we just drew in her notebook for about 40 minutes until it was time to go home!
In summary, I did three out of the four courses that were available and had a great time while doing them! It was truly a really fun day!
